Digital Advertisement Patent Rises from the Ashes Surrounding Its Prior Owner
Texas NPE Adnexus Incorporated has initiated its first litigation, suing Alphabet (Google) (6:23-cv-00150), Amazon (6:23-cv-00148), eBay (6:23-cv-00149), Meta Platforms (6:23-cv-00152), and Microsoft (LinkedIn) (6:23-cv-00151), each in the Western District of Texas. A single patent generally related to targeted online advertisements is asserted across the complaints, the named inventors of which were involved in a securities fraud investigation that culminated in an indictment of several individuals. The defendants are accused of infringement through the provision of their respective advertisement solutions.
