Street Spirit IP LLC has expanded its sole litigation campaign, launched in September 2022, with separate Northern District of California suits against Meta Platforms (3:23-cv-00879) and its subsidiary Instagram (5:23-cv-00883) as well as Microsoft (LinkedIn) (4:23-cv-00884). The sole asserted patent generally relates to providing security against cybercrimes by using an “identity verification and management” system in a social network service. The defendants are accused of infringement through the support of content moderation and user verification tools in their respective social media platforms.
