Innovatio IP Ventures [NPE] filed two separate suits against Baymont Inn & Suites, Chicago O’hare Garden Hotel, Courtyard, Days Inn, Fairfield Inn & Suites, Hawthorne Suites, Howard Johnson, Knights Inn, Marriot, La Quinta, Ramada, Renaissance, Residence Inn, Springhill Suites, Super 8, Towneplace Suites, Travelodge, Wingate, Wyndham and various related entities over 17 patents related to wireless networking systems.  Since March 2011, Innovatio IP has filed six prior suits against over 15 defendants and has been subject to actions for declaratory judgment from Cisco and Motorola.  Innovatio IP acquired the patents-in-suit from Broadcom in February 2011.  9/15, Northern District of Illinois, 1:2011cv06478; 1:2011cv06479.
