MobileMedia Ideas [NPE] filed suit against RIM over 11 patents related to mobile phone functionality. This case is a transfer from the Eastern District of Texas. MobileMedia Ideas has filed two prior suits since March 2010 against Apple and HTC. The patents-in-suit originated with Sony and Nokia. 9/9, Northern District of Texas, 3:2011cv02353.
