Lighting Ballast Control (LBC) [NPE] filed suit against American Ballast, Anton Compact Electronics, Hatch Transformers, Radionic Industries, and Robertson Worldwide over a patent related to circuits for electronic ballast.  LBC is a subsidiary of Acacia Research Corp. and filed one prior suit over the same patent in February 2009 against defendants including General Electric and Philips.  In June 2011, Universal Lighting Technologies was ordered by a court to pay LBC $3 million in damages for infringement of the patent-in-suit.  9/9, Northern District of Texas, 7:2011cv00114.
