New Campaign Targets Network Security Products

Speech Transcription, LLC has initiated its first litigation, suing Cisco (6:23-cv-00376), Huawei (3:23-cv-01155), and Oracle (6:23-cv-00377) over a single patent generally related to a platform for endpoint security management that allows the use of multiple products from third party vendors. In connection with its suit against Huawei, filed in the Northern District of Texas (which imposes heightened disclosure requirements on litigants), the plaintiff, which appears to be connected to a well-known figure in patent monetization circles, identifies only itself and litigation counsel, Garteiser Honea PC, on a list of “all persons, associations of persons, firms, partnerships, corporations, guarantors, insurers, affiliates, parent or subsidiary corporations, or other legal entities that are financially interested in the outcome of the case”.
