A Texas plaintiff, ProudLion IP LLC, has initiated a new campaign, accusing LG Electronics (LGE) (1:23-cv-00614), Microsoft (1:23-cv-00615), OPPO (1:23-cv-00619), and Samsung (1:23-cv-00620) of infringing a single patent generally related to a system for modifying the “operation and appearance of a portable computing device”. Device settings customization provided with the LG Watch Urbane, Microsoft Launcher app, OPPO Watch, and Galaxy-series smartwatches are respectively targeted. The parameters surrounding this new campaign conform to an ever more familiar pattern.
