Last fall, as Delaware Chief Judge Colm F. Connolly began questioning the compliance of multiple plaintiffs tied to IP Edge LLC with his April 2022 standing orders, the once-prolific Texas monetization firm responded first by continuing its established pattern of filing roughly 50 new complaints per month, just doing so outside of Delaware. Quickly, though, that response shifted to a pause on any new complaints anywhere. This pattern of filing silence, in place for six months now, has brought the number of truly active IP Edge-linked district court cases outside of those bogged down in Judge Connolly’s courtroom below ten. However, a review of those suits—plus an assignment that has popped up in USPTO records recently made public—suggest how IP Edge may plan to press forward.
