In mid-June, WiFi Rail, Inc. filed a Western District of Texas lawsuit against Cisco (1:23-cv-00662), alleging infringement of four patents generally related to enabling access to host devices connected to a network via a mobile access point that communicates with a series of stationary access points to provide such access. Targeted is the provision of the Cisco Connected Rail system, Wi-Fi Rail having litigated several years ago claims arising from a contract with Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) to provide Wi-Fi service on its trains.
