J&H Web Technologies, LLC has revived its sole litigation campaign, suing Alphabet (Google) (2:23-cv-00280), Bloop (2:23-cv-00278), Microsoft (2:23-cv-00277), and Square Cat Software (2:23-cv-00279) over the provision of certain “unsubscription” tools within their respective email platforms. The Texas plaintiff asserts the same patent, generally related to reviewing messages and removing the recipient from email services, at issue in a series of lawsuits, one filed in each of the years from 2016-2019. Two of the prior defendants challenged the asserted claims of that patent under Alice, but neither motion reached a ruling before dismissal.
