Vicor Asserts Power Conversion Patents in New Eastern District of Texas Case
As RPX’s recently published Q2 in Review reports, NPE litigation has dipped in the first half of 2023 due to changed environments in two of the nation’s top venues, but the number of patent cases filed by operating companies over the same time period came in even with levels in the first half of 2022. Continuing in that direction, this past week Vicor Corporation sued Delta Electronics (Cyntec, Delta Electronics (Americas), Delta Electronics (USA)), together with Hon Hai Precision Industry (Foxconn Industrial Internet, Ingrasys Technology) and Quanta Computer (Quanta Cloud Technology) (2:23-cv-00323) in the Eastern District of Texas. Vicor targets the Delta U50SU Series High Power Density 48V/12V Bi-Directional DC-DC Converter Power Module and products containing the device (e.g., power distribution networks, servers, and AI accelerators) with four patents.
