Inventor-controlled Songbird Tech LLC has sued Samsung (6:23-cv-00537) over the support for various voice assistant platforms—including Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, Microsoft Cortana, and Samsung’s Bixby—within a wide array of devices (e.g., appliances laptops, smartphones, smart watches, tablets, and TVs). A single patent generally related to using audio messages for communications between a user and a “host agent of a customer service center” has been asserted in the new Western District of Texas complaint.
