EyesMatch, Ltd. has filed suit against Samsung (2:23-cv-00363) in the Eastern District of Texas, asserting two of the four patents that it previously accused Meta Platforms (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp) of infringing in District of Delaware litigation running from January 2021 to June 2022. Those patents generally relate to modifying an image captured by a device with a camera and displayed on a screen, with infringement allegations focusing on the provision of laptops, smartphones, and tablets equipped with “video capturing applications”, the Google Meet application, and/or the Microsoft Teams/Chat applications. At issue is the Auto Framing feature.
