Rates Technology [NPE] filed separate suits against Level 3 Communications and MetroPCS for alleged infringement of two patents related to routing telephone calls.  Rates’ complaints requests  “no less than” $540 million for infringement of each of the two patents.  5/13, Southern District of New York, 1:2011cv03254 and 1:2011cv03255.  Rates Technology has filed more than 30 patent suits, each time against a single defendant.
