Oyster Optics Kicks Off New Fiber Optics Campaign

Recently formed Texas NPE Oyster Optics, LLC has launched its first litigation campaign, filing suit against BT Group (British Telecommunications) and Cisco (2:16-cv-01301), Ciena and Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson (2:16-cv-01300), Coriant (Tellabs) (2:16-cv-01302), Fujitsu (2:16-cv-01299), Huawei (2:16-cv-01303), Infinera (2:16-cv-01295), NEC (2:16-cv-01296), Nokia (2:16-cv-01297), and ZTE (2:16-cv-01298). The complaints assert seven fiber optic telecommunications patents (7,620,327; 8,374,511; 8,913,898; 7,099,592; 6,469,816; 6,476,952; 6,594,055) against all defendants but Fujitsu, which has been accused of infringing only the ‘327, ‘511, and ‘898 patents. The defendants are accused of infringement through components and operation of their fiber optic telecommunications platforms.
