May 16, 2011-  PACid and Arris have filed a joint motion Arris from the PACid case.  Last week, motions to dismiss were also filed for defendants Nintendo, GCT Semi, Psion, EF Johnson, 3e Technologies, and TP Link.  PACid filed six suits against more than 100 defendants between 2008 and 2010 alleging infringement of patents related to encryption key generation.  RPX acquired sublicense rights to the  PACid patents in August 2010 and negotiated dismissals for 19 clients.  Non-defendant clients also received licenses.
