Enhanced Audio Systems, LLC (EAS) has filed a lawsuit against Toshiba (1:16-cv-01329), asserting a single patent (6,374,148) generally related to audio systems for portable PCs. The complaint accuses Toshiba of infringement through the manufacture and sale of laptop computers and docking stations. EAS is an apparent affiliate of Equitable IP Corporation, this latest suit marking the third campaign that the NPE has launched asserting patents received from Intellectual Ventures LLC in an August 31, 2016 transaction.
