Haptic, Inc. (f/k/a Swan Solutions, Inc.) has filed suit against Apple (1:23-cv-01351) in the Western District of Texas. The plaintiff accuses Apple of infringing a single patent generally related to a “control system” with a housing that incorporates a sensor-based interactive zone through the provision of the Back Tap feature within the iPhone 8 series and later models. That feature allows phone users to tap (double tap, triple tap, etc.) on the back of an iPhone to perform set functions on the phone or on devices controlled through the phone.
