Two patents generally related to “formatting text” by analyzing text inputs using a “library of key words and punctuation” are the focus of a new case filed by Language Technologies, Inc. (LTI) against Microsoft (4:23-cv-00520). Targeted in the District of Arizona complaint is the use of the Bling FIRE tokenizer API in its various Natural Language Processing (NLP) products (e.g., Azure Cognitive Services, Cortana, and Translate), as well as supporting products (e.g., apps, computers, gaming consoles, tablets, and web browsers).
