Over the past three weeks or so, the International Trade Commission (ITC) has received six complaints alleging unfair imports. This past week, inventor-controlled IngenioSpec LLC filed an action targeting the importation of smart sunglasses (337-TA-3709), a few days after Optimum Communications Services, Inc., another inventor-controlled complainant, filed an action focused on the provision of products allegedly compliant with the Passive Optical Network (“xPON”) standard (337-TA-3707) and Lenovo an ITC complaint targeting various computer products (337-TA-3708). At the end of October, Samsung Display filed before the ITC, seeking an end to the importation of products containing certain OLEDs (337-TA-3704), and Nokia filed two separate ITC complaints combined targeting a wide range of products capable of decoding H.264 and H.265 video (337-TA-3705, 337-TA-3706).
