May 15, 2011-  Lodsys,  the NPE that filed suit against a number of  companies back in February 2011 including Brother, Canon, HP, Hulu, Lenovo, Lexmark, Motorola Mobility, Novell, Samsung and Trend Micro over three patents  related to in-product user feedback systems, has reportedly initated an assertion campaign against iOS application developers.  The Lodsys patents were originally assigned to individual inventor Daniel Abelow and subsequently to Ferrara Ethereal.  Webvention acquired the patents in an assignment recorded in 2009.  Webvention has been linked to Intellectual Ventures by the press. Webvention assigned the patents in suit to Lodsys in August 2010.  Correspondent information for Webvention and Lodsys is identical.
