Network System Technologies LLC (NST) has notified Eastern District of Texas Judge Robert W. Schroeder III that it has paid to TI just over $16K in attorney fees, an amount associated with TI’s having had to file a motion to compel NST’s patent purchase agreement (PPA) and related documents this past August. NST initially refused to produce that agreement with Philips on alleged lack of relevance grounds but produced it during the pendency of TI’s motion, only to have a dispute concerning a wider set of documents open. Those documents include 148 “Identified Agreements” in the PPA, as well as documents related to the loan that NST took out from the same entity that is apparently providing funding for this litigation.
