Since launching its sole litigation campaign in October 2022, inventor-controlled plaintiff Teleputers, LLC has sued eight defendants, including AMD, Analog Devices, Fujitsu, Marvell Technology, Oracle (Sun Microsystems), Qualcomm, and Renesas, targeting each over systems-on-chip (SoCs) based on certain Intel and/or ARM architectures. Following the dismissal of its last active litigation in December, the plaintiff has now added a case against SoftBank Group (ARM) (6:23-cv-00874) itself in the Western District of Texas. The plaintiff asserts two patents generally related to permutation instructions in a programmable processor, with the defendant targeted over the provision of SoCs that employ the ARM Neon architecture.
