As the exclusive licensee of a single asserted patent that generally relates to a “pointing apparatus capable of providing haptic feedback”, recently formed Haptix Solutions LLC has filed suit against Microsoft (8:24-cv-00428) in the Central District of California. In its certification of interested parties, Haptix identifies the patent’s owner, Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI), as the only nonparty having a “pecuniary interest in the outcome of this case”.
