Klausner Technologies Sues Alcatel-Lucent, Samsung, NEC and 14 Others

Klausner Technologies [NPE] filed suit against two RPX members, Samsung and NEC, and 15 other networking companies, including Alcatel-Lucent, Mitel Networks, and Siemens, over two patents related to telephone answering devices that display data associated with a recorded message. In the past three years, the plaintiff has asserted the same two patents in five suits mainly against networking, consumer electronics, and mobile device companies. Previous defendants have included RPX members, Panasonic, Cisco, Motorola Mobility, RIM, Apple, and HTC.  Klausner Technolgies, led by inventors Judah Klausner and Robert Hotto, who are the named inventors of the patents-in-suit in February.  PTO assignment records indicate that the patents are assigned to Visual Access Technologies. 5/10, Eastern District of Texas, 6:2011cv00231.
