Velocity Patent Files Second Suit Against Daimler in Assisted Driving Campaign

Velocity Patent LLC has filed a second lawsuit against Daimler (1:17-cv-05736), the NPE’s first new litigation since the start of its campaign in November 2013. The company’s subsidiary Daimler Trucks is accused of infringing a single patent generally related to sensors and telemetry in a vehicle through the provision of trucks with various assisted driving and safety features, including automated braking assistance, adaptive cruise control, collision warning systems, lane guidance and “Tail Gate Warning” features, and passing assistance.
