June 7, 2024

Alps Alpine (Alps Electric) (2:24-cv-00424), Applied Information (1:24-cv-02471), ASUSTek (2:24-cv-00422), and Panasonic (Ficosa) (2:24-cv-00421) are the latest defendants to be added to the sole litigation campaign of Sensor360 LLC, an entity connected with a figure familiar in patent monetization circles. At issue in each complaint is a single patent generally related to a “sensor module for use in a sensor network”. The defendants are accused of infringement over the support for C-V2X (Cellular-vehicle-to-everything) technology in their various automobile products, including the Alps Electric UMNZ1 5G cellular module, AI-500-065-02 In-Vehicle Unit, Askey 5G OBU car connectivity box, and Ficosa C-V2X On-Board Unit (OBU), respectively.
