New Texas NPE Asserts Marathon Patent Against Samsung

CRX Tech, LLC, a new Texas NPE managed by a Luxembourg entity, has filed suit against Samsung (2:17-cv-00611), targeting the tech giant’s LED components, LED modules, displays, televisions, and lighting products that include “LED dies, products utilizing PSS (Patterned Sapphire Substrate) technology, and/or Samsung’s High Power Ceramic LED family of products”. The patent-in-suit generally relates to the use of patterned structures to control unwanted reflections in optical systems using semiconductor gain mediums.
