Helix Microinnovations LLC has refiled its case against Microchip Technology (1:24-cv-00962), moving it from the Eastern District of Texas to the District of Delaware, and has filed new suits, one against each of Marubeni (1:24-cv-06394) and Swissbit (1:24-cv-06396), both in the Southern District of New York. All defendants, including previously sued Analog Devices, Micro-Hybrid Electronic, ON Semiconductor, and Realtek Semiconductor, are accused of infringing a single “chip-on-board” (COB) packaging patent. The shift to Delaware could surface whether Helix is backed by third-party litigation funding here.
