Second West Texas Jury Sides with SVV Technology, Requesting Access to the “Light Guide Plate” Rather Than to “More Regular Coke”
In the litigation campaign of SVV Technology Innovations, Inc. (d/b/a Lucent Optics), a second West Texas jury has returned a 2024 verdict in favor of the plaintiff, awarding more than $22.4M against ASUSTek for the infringement of six claims from four patents. In June, the other jury awarded SVV Technology $10.3M for Acer’s infringement of five claims from four different patents. Both juries found willfulness. District Judge Alan D. Albright has just entered judgment against Acer, in a sealed order, based on that first verdict, with each defendant facing two additional cases, in which more SVV Technology patents appear headed to trial.
