2017 in Review: NPEs Adapt to Changes in the Litigation Landscape

This year has seen a number of prominent NPEs, both private and public, adapting to the changing landscape of patent litigation. While some have begun seeking new sources of patents and different venues in which to enforce them, others have undergone dramatic strategic revamps, and still others have exited the patent assertion business altogether.
