Identity Authentication at Issue in Delaware Plaintiff’s Inaugural Litigation

November 14, 2024

Delaware plaintiff Fraud Free Transactions LLC (FFT) has filed its first cases, suing Okta (1:24-cv-01219) and Ping Identity (1:24-cv-01218) in its home district. The plaintiff asserts two patents described in the complaints as “related to identity authentication”, with the defendants accused of infringement through the provision of their respective “identity management services”: for Okta, over the “‘Customer Identity and Access Management’ (‘CIAM’), ‘Workforce Identity Cloud’ (‘WIC’), and ‘Okta Verify’” platforms; and for Ping, over the PingOne platform.
