Wyoming-based plaintiff Algebraix LLC has begun litigating a portfolio of former Permission.io (f/k/a Algebraix Data Corporation, XSPRADA Corporation) patents with a suit against IBM (2:24-cv-00999) in the Eastern District of Texas. The six asserted patents are broadly directed to various aspects of data management, with IBM accused of infringement through the provision of the “IBM i” operating system and related hardware products (e.g., servers). At issue is the support for the “DB2 for i” relational database manager.
