Texas Plaintiff Launches New Targeted Advertising Campaign in California

New NPE Lone Star Targeted Advertising, LLC (LSTA) has launched its first litigation campaign, asserting a single, recently acquired patent against Cross MediaWorks (Cadent Technology) (5:18-cv-00764). The patent generally relates to sending, in real time, information to selected viewers of video content based on their “attributes”. The defendants are accused of infringement through Cadent’s service targeting advertising at video content viewers, “enabling precise segmentation for addressable advertising” across multiple viewing platforms and devices.
