With ITC Complaint, Maxell Doubles Number of Patents-in-Suit Against Samsung

Maxell, Ltd. sued Samsung in the Eastern District of Texas back in September 2023. District Judge Robert W. Schroeder III issued a claim construction order in that case on November 5, 2024. Now, Maxell has filed a complaint with the International Trade Commission (ITC) naming Samsung as a proposed respondent (more specifically, Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. and Samsung Electronics America, Inc.) (337-TA-3793). With the six patents asserted in this ITC complaint, the total number in suit between the two is now 12.
