IPVal’s VenKee Communications Targets Access Points in New Campaign

March 2, 2018

VenKee Communications LLC, an affiliate of monetization firm IP Valuation Partners LLC (d/b/a IPVal), has begun a litigation campaign, filing separate suits against ARRIS (2:18-cv-00050), Cisco (2:18-cv-00052), and HP Enterprise (HPE) (Aruba Networks) (2:18-cv-00051). One of the two patents-in-campaign, generally related to wideband digital radio base stations, is asserted against all three defendants, with VenKee accusing ARRIS of infringement through provision of certain of its Touchstone Cable Voice Gateways; Cisco, of its Aironet 1850 access point; and Aruba, of its 303 Series Campus Access Points. The other asserted patent, generally related to wireless communications networks, is at issue only in the complaints filed against Cisco, targeting its Aironet 1520 and 1130 mesh access points, and HPE/Aruba, targeting its MSR2000 and MSR4000 mesh access points.
