March has now seen recorded patent assignments to Global Innovation Aggregators, LLC (an NPE led by patent attorney Brian Yates) from ZTE as well as Panasonic. A late 2017 transfer from LG Electronics to publicly traded InterDigital, Inc. was also recently made public; the recording follows the NPE’s announcement earlier this month of its acquisition of Technicolor’s patent licensing business—a deal that InterDigital says will “extend its licensing program to new activities in the consumer electronics field”.
