Clear Imaging Research, LLC has come back to the courts, this time suing Alphabet (Google) (3:25-cv-00221). In the Southern District of California complaint, the inventor-controlled plaintiff targets the provision of image and video stabilization features within various Pixel-series smartphones, doing so with seven patents from the same large family at issue in earlier suits filed against first Samsung and then Apple. Clear Imaging Research pleads that Google’s alleged infringement has been willful, citing a notice letter purportedly sent as early as July 2017, with subsequent communications extending into early 2025.
