Oracle (1:25-cv-00246) is the latest defendant to be sued in the sole litigation campaign of inventor-controlled plaintiff Mov-Ology, LLC (d/b/a MOVology), begun in January 2022. The four patents-in-suit, three of which are asserted in litigation for the first time, are broadly directed to obtaining data from “abandoned” or “incomplete” electronic forms and sending a personalized message to the user based on that data. Oracle is accused of infringement through the provision of its Customer Experience Software suite of applications, which includes the Infinity Behavioral Intelligence and Responsys Campaign Management platforms. At issue are features for collecting customers’ digital behavior data and producing personalized marketing messages.
