Acer (2:25-cv-00175) and Coolpad Group (2:25-cv-00174) are the latest defendants to be added to the sole litigation campaign of TurboCode LLC, launched in April 2021 with suits against ASUSTek, Dell, HP, HP Enterprise (HPE), and Huawei (HiSilicon). In the new Eastern District of Texas complaints, the plaintiff asserts a single former ICOMM Technologies, Inc. patent generally related to processing “baseband digital signals”. The defendants are accused of infringement through the provision of devices (e.g., laptops, smartphones, and tablets) that are compliant with 3G and/or 4G/LTE standards “as disclosed in the 3rd Generation Partnership Project ('3GPP') Standard Specifications (releases 8-13) governing cellular wireless communications”.
