This past January, IPValue Management (d/b/a IPValue) and “intellectual property and technology licensing company” Longitude Flash Memory Solutions Ltd. (LFMS) filed a Central District of California complaint against Western Digital (8:25-cv-00119). There, the plaintiffs target the provision of a wide array of devices (e.g., embedded flash, HDDs, SSDs, USB flash drives, and memory cards) that contain 3D NAND flash memory. On February 24, 2025, Sandisk spun out of Western Digital and has now filed a Northern District of California complaint against IPValue and LFMS (5:25-cv-02389), indicating that the products identified in the earlier complaint against Western Digital are Sandisk’s.
