An Eastern District of Texas jury has returned a noninfringement verdict in a case filed by General Access Solutions, Ltd. (f/k/a Access Solutions, Ltd.) (GAS) against Deutsche Telekom (T-Mobile). District Judge Rodney Gilstrap entered judgment based on this verdict a few days later. This result comes a few months after GAS and Verizon (Verizon Wireless and multiple other subsidiaries) noticed a settlement that led to the dismissal rather than a retrial in the same campaign. Judge Gilstrap had ordered a new trial in that case, after setting aside an $847M verdict in favor of GAS, returned last summer.
