IP Edge Shows Signs of 2025 Life
IP Edge LLC has been relatively quiet since Delaware Chief Judge Colm F. Connolly began enforcing compliance with a pair of April 2022 standing orders. That enforcement led to, among other things, the referral of several attorneys representing IP Edge-linked plaintiffs to state disciplinary bodies, as well as the imposition of a $53K fine for civil contempt. The Texas monetization firm still “holds”, through various associated entities, many patents, though. On March 31, 2025, one such entity, Terrace Licensing LLC (for which Duane Dorsey signed as its managing member), moved a batch of such patents to Crosslayer Communications LLC, which then sued Eaton (1:25-cv-00630) in the Western District of Texas. Crosslayer joins Bishop Display Tech LLC as Texas entities formed by the IP Edge principals themselves to file suit this year. In March, Bishop Display hit BOE Technology with a pair of Eastern District of Texas cases in an existing litigation campaign.
