Gorrichategui Declarations Raise Questions in Cases Filed by WirelessWERX IP, Particularly in California

May 5, 2025

Amid troubles for its counsel in California courts, Ramey LLP-repped WirelessWERX IP LLC keeps filing new cases elsewhere—in April against Tail Light (3:25-cv-01026), in the Northern District of Texas; Verizon (7:25-cv-00128) in the Western District of Texas; and Volkswagen (Audi of America) (4:25-cv-11147) in the Eastern District of Michigan. In a suit against Honda (2:25-cv-03471) recently transferred to the Central District of California, California attorney Jennifer Ishimoto of Banie & Ishimoto LLP has been substituted in as counsel for Ramey LLP. With new representation, perhaps WirelessWERX IP will revisit whether a “complete list” of those financially interested in its cases includes only itself and Ramey LLP, as has been represented to district courts that impose heightened disclosure on litigants and to those that do not.
