Final Written Decisions Due Soon, Funded Plaintiff Doubles Down

Roughly two years after SitNet LLC filed its first complaint against Meta Platforms, the plaintiff has filed a second one, again in the Southern District of New York (1:25-cv-06185). Six patents from the same family are asserted in this second complaint, infringement allegations targeting the provision of the Facebook Crisis Response feature and the Facebook Ad platform. By September 15, 2025, the parties are to update the court in the first case, now stayed, concerning final written decisions expected in inter partes reviews (IPRs) of the four patents asserted in the July 2023 complaint.
