Another Case Opened in Customer Support Services Campaign

LG Electronics (LGE) (2:25-cv-00809) is the latest defendant to be added to the sole litigation campaign of Random Chat LLC, launched in June 2024 with a case against Abercrombie & Fitch. In the newly filed Eastern District of Texas complaint, the plaintiff asserts a single patent generally related to a method for setting up random multimedia connections between users who have logged into a server and are part of a pool of users. LGE is accused of infringement through the provision of its website’s customer support chat service, with features for connecting users to support agents at issue.
