Litigation over Former Voicebox Patents Continues in Multiple Venues
Dialect, LLC has filed another case in its litigation campaign over a portfolio of former Voicebox Technologies patents, this one against Comcast (together with multiple subsidiaries) (1:25-cv-10341), filed not in Texas but in the Northern District of Illinois. The plaintiff targets the support of natural language processing and voice recognition functionalities in the Xfinity Voice Remote products. Dialect pleads that Comcast had a “longstanding and substantive relationship with VoiceBox Technologies, the prior owner of the Asserted Patents” beginning around 2012 and that those interactions culminated in the rollout of the Xfinity Voice Remote product, which incorporated “key aspects of the patented VoiceBox technology”.
