Florida plaintiff Search & Share Technologies LLC (SST) has filed suit against Meta Platforms (1:25-cv-01440) over the provision of the Facebook, Instagram, and Threads platforms. At issue are features identified as “Automatic Content Solution”, “Indexing and Ranking by Engagement”, “Search Query Retrieval”, “Separate Interaction Interface”, and “User Submissions Transmitted to Server”. Two patents broadly directed to refining search result queries based on user engagement (e.g., ranking and settings) in the Western District of Texas complaint.
