ContactWave Files New Round in Delaware, Faces Early Alice Brushback in Texas

ContactWave LLC has filed separate cases against Booking Holdings (Kayak Software) (1:25-cv-01189), GoBrands (1:25-cv-01190), TripAdvisor (1:25-cv-01187), and Yelp (1:25-cv-01186) in the District of Delaware. A single patent—broadly directed to sending messages from vendors to “mobile communication addresses of mobile users” after verifying that the user has provided “acceptance information”—has been asserted in this campaign since its December 2024 start. Prior defendants Macy’s and Nordstrom have filed motions to dismiss the separate Eastern District of Texas complaints against them, both under Alice.
