Powerline Innovations [NPE] filed two separate suits against a number of networking and semiconductor defendants including Belkin, Broadcom, Cisco, Netgear,  Sharp, STMicro, TrendNet, Qualcomm, and ZyXEL over a patent related to control of networked devices.  This is the first time Powerline has filed suit.  The plaintiff acquired the patent-in-suit from Cyberlynx in July 2011.  8/6, Eastern District of Texas, 6:2011cv00410; 6:2011cv00411.
